St. Joseph School - Catholic Private School in Fremont, CA
Catholic Youth Organization Sports
St. Joseph School Athletics is a member of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), an all-volunteer organization run by the Oakland Diocese. Sports are open to interested athletes who are St. Joseph School students, enrolled in the St. Joseph Faith Formation, or live within Parish boundaries. Depending on the sport and on the interest, there are typically 16-18 teams with 9-11 players per team.
Parents are welcome to volunteer as coaches, scorekeepers and administrators. Coaches must be fingerprinted by the Diocese, complete an online Safe Environment coarse and attend a coaches workshop put on by the Diocese at the start of each season.
Contact Athletic Director Mike Gaffey if you are interested in volunteering.
